A discussion on ‘Natun Dhara’s Politics in the New Year and New Possibility’ organised by Dhaka Mahanagar Dakshin Natun Dhara Bangladesh (NDB) was held in the auditorium of Shishu Kalyan Parishad in the city’s Topkhana Road on Friday. In the programme the speakers called upon all to come forward against corruption. They also urged the young generation to form committee in each village and mahalla against communalism, corruption and terrorism to build Bangladesh in a new way. The function was addressed, among others, by NDB Chairman Momin Mehedi, General Secretary Ibrahim Khalil Prodhan, Vice-Chairman Principal Shanta Farzana, Joint Secretary General Dr. Noorjahan Nira and Organising Secretary Farhadul Islam Kamal. President of Mahanagar Natun Dhara Mahamud Hasan Taher presided over the event.
Multiplan Shop Owners’ Assoc
A discussion on the inauguration of ‘Digital IT Fair-2016′ organised by Computer City Center (Multiplan) Shop Owners’ Association was held in the city’s Elephant Road on Thursday. Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed inaugurated the fair as the chief guest. While speaking Tofail said the government would provide cash incentives to IT exporters. “IT is one of the top priority sectors which is being encouraged to increase country’s export earning,” he said. Mentioning that country’s IT sector has already drawn the attention in the global markets, he hoped that export earnings from IT sector would exceed $ 1 billion in 2017. The minister said “Digital Bangladesh” is not a dream rather it’s now a reality and said people are now enjoying over 200 categories of citizen services through 5000 digital centers. He expected Bangladesh to set up an example through attaining UN declared Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The function was addressed, among others, by former MP Mostafa Mahsin Mantu, BASIS President Mostafa Jabber, Bangladesh Computer Samity President Ali Ashraf and FBCCI Director Abu Motaleb. President of the association Towfiq Ahsan presided over the programme.
