ASA University Bangladesh
Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of ASA University Bangladesh (ASAUB) organized ed a three-day training programme on ‘Teaching-Learning, Curriculum and Self Assessment’ in IQAC Conference Room of the University yesterday. The main objective of the training is the capacity enhancement of the faculty members for Self Assessment exercise of their respective academic programs. It is a part of the ongoing quality assurance process implemented at ASAUB by its IQAC under Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) of the Government of Bangladesh. Prof. Dr. A. K. M. Helal uz Zaman, Vice Chancellor-In-Charge, was present as the Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Iqbal Hossain, Chairman, Dept. of Business Administration and Director, IQAC, ASAUB presided over the program. Prof. Dr. M. Mozahar Ali, Director, GTI, Bangladesh Agriculture University was present as the Key Facilitator. Mr. Md. Moniruz Zaman, Assistant Professor of Department . of English and Additional Director, IQAC, ASAUB delivered the welcome address and Prof. Dr. Iqbal Hossain, the Chair of the programme , extended vote of thanks for precious presence of all. 33 faculty members from the Department of Business Administration and Department of English participated in the training session, says a press release.  
Northern University
A three -day long workshop entitled “Pedagogy and Metacognitive Techniques and Tools” was held at BIIS hall Northern University Bangladesh by IQAC of the university for enhancing quality education. As chief guest in the workshop Prof Dr A.Y.M. Abdullah, Chairman of the Northern University Bangladesh Trust said a nation can progress through quality education and research. He urged the faculty member of the universities to ensure and enhance qualities education and to be involved in research for the interest of our nation. zillur Rahman, Additional Director of IQAC,NUB modarated the workshop while K.Ahmed Alam, Associate professor and Head, Department of English conducted different session. The Vice Chancellor (Acting) of Northern University Prof Dr. A.W. M. Abdul Huq, Pro-VC Prof. Dr. Anwarul Karim, Treasurer Md. Anwar Hussain, and Registrar Lt. Col. (Retd.) Aqtedar Ahmed Siddiqui were present as special guests. The faculty members from different Department participated in the workshop. Where the Deans of different faculties and the heads of different departments where also present.
Falling Walls Lab Bangladesh
Best three participants of Falling Walls Lab of Bangladesh have been selected at the final round of the event held at BUET campus recently. Faculty members of BUET and renowned personalities from different sectors were the judges of the final round. Falling Walls is a unique international platform for leaders from the worlds of science, business, politics, the arts and society. It was initiated on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. Inspired by the world-changing event on 9 November 1989 at Berlin, Falling Walls fosters discussion on research and innovation and promotes the latest scientific findings among a broad audience from all parts of society and this platform of Falling Walls is generously supported by the German Ministry for Education and Research. This year, for the first time, hosted the first Falling Walls Lab of Bangladesh in collaboration BUET with Zero to Infinity and with the support of BUET EDC, the Youth Carnival, the Bangladesh Science Society and Future Startup. After a preliminary selection students and professional from different universities and organizations attended today’s session with great excitement, showed their great ideas through their 3 minute’s mind blowing presentation and they also gave answers for the questions about their presentation. They discussed about technical, social and commercial problems and also focused on how to solve these problems with easy solutions. The winners of this year Falling Walls Lab Bangladesh are : Ahmed imtiaz humayun (1st) from BUET, Obaidur Rahman (2nd) from BUET and Md Rahatur Rahman (3rd) from Simplexhub Ltd. In upcoming 08 November, Imtiaz will present his groundbreaking idea on ‘Breaking the Wall of Blindness’ at the falling walls lab final round in Berlin.
