Sheikh Russel Jatiya Shishu Kishore Parishad
A discussion organised by Sheikh Russel Jatiya Shishu Kishore Parishad marking the 70th birth anniversary of Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina was held on Sunday in the auditorium of National Sports Councili in the city. Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader was present as the chief guest. While speaking Quader asked the younger generation to follow the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to play role for the development of the country. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a world leader, he said. Quader, also Awami League Presidium member, said Bangabandhu’s grandson Sajeeb Wazed Joy added a new dimension to the advancement of Information and Communication Technology. He urged the youths to take ahead the country utilizing the ICT under the leadership of Sajeeb Wazed Joy and thus materialize the dream of Bangabandhu. Founding President of the parishad Rakibur Rahman presided over the event.
National Productivity Organisation
A colourful rally organised by National Productivity Organization (NPO) was brought out in the city on Sunday on the occasion of National Productivity Day. The rally was brought out from Osmani Memorial Auditorium gate and ended at the Jatiya Press Club.
Additional Secretary of Industries Ministry Sushen Chandra Das led the rally which was was attended by Additional Secretary Dabirul Islam, Chairman of Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industry Corporation AKM Delwar Hossain, officials and employees of different government and non-government organisations, among others. After the rally Sushen Chandra said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared productivity as “National Movement” aiming to improve living standard of the people through enhancing productivity.
