Mahanagar Sarbojanin Puja Committee
A discussion and prayer session on the occasion of 41st martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members organised by Mahanagar Sarbojanin Puja Committee was held at Shri Shri Dhakeshwari Jatiya Mandir in the city on Monday. In the function the speakers urged the government to bring back the fugitive killers of Bangabandhu and execute the verdict of capital punishment. In the programme the participants offered prayers for the salvation of the departed souls of the martyrs of August 15 carnage. The event was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the committee Advocate Shyamal Kumar Roy, former minister Suranajit Sengupta, State Minister for Sports Dr Biren Sikder, President of Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad (BPUP) Jayanta Sen Dipu, President of Mahanagar Sarbojanin Puja Committee DN Chatterjee and General Secretaty of BPUP Advocate Taposh Kumar Pal. Warden of Dhakeshwari Jatiya Mandir Prodeep Kumar Chakravarty presided over the function.
