Sports Reporter :India cruised into the final of the ICC World Twenty20 Cricket when they defeated South Africa by six wickets in the second semifinal at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Friday.Batting first South Africa made a fighting 172 for the loss of four wickets in the regulation 20 overs.In reply, India sailed home scoring 176 for the loss of four wickets with remaining five balls.Virat Kohli led his team from the frontline to chase the South Africa total.Kohli remained unbeaten with 72 from 44 balls featuring five fours and two sixes.Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina added 32, 24 and 21 runs respectively to the India total.Hendrics of South Africa got success with cherry. He took two wickets for 31 runs.Earlier, South Africa faced early debacle losing two wickets for 44 runs.Then F du Plessis and JP Duminy added 71 runs for the third wicket partnership before Plessis was cleanly bowled out by Ravichandran Ashin when South Africa’s score was 115 for the loss of three wickets.Plessis made an impressive 58. His 41-ball innings was decorated with five boundaries and two over boundaries. Plaessis reached his fifth Twenty20 century using 36 deliveries.Later, JP Duminy and DA Miller put on together 43 runs in the unbroken fifth wicket stand.JP Duminy remained undefeated with 45 off 40 balls featuring three over boundaries and one boundary.Miller remained unbeaten with 23 off 12 balls including two fours and a six.Hashim Amla scored 22 from 16 balls with four fours.Ravichandran Ashin grabbed three wickets instead of 22 runs.
