Disabled Child Foundation
A computer certificate distribution programme organised by Disabled Child Foundation (DCF) was held on Thursday at its computer training center in association with Reliance Insurance Ltd and LCDB at Khilgaon in the city. Councilor of Ward No.1 of Dhaka South City Corporation Wahidul Hasan Milton was present as the chief guest in the function. News Editor of The Bangladesh Today Saiful Islam and Training officer of LCDB Selina Begum were present as the special guests. Chairperson of DCF and Captain of Bangladesh National Blind Cricket Team Hafizur Rahman Bullet presided over the event. After completion of computer training course, ten disabled trainees including visual, physical and hearing impaired and twenty non-disabled trainees received certificates in the programme. The trainees have successfully completed their six months long computer training course from DCF computer training center. The programme was moderated by Executive Director of DCF Ms. Nasrin Jahan. In the function speakers said, skill development training can play an important role for persons with disabilities. It can create opportunities in job market and increase access to information.
