Amra Muktijoddhar Santan
A rally organised by Amra Muktijoddhar Santan (AMS) was held recently at its central office in the city’s Bangabandhu Avenue with President of the organisation Mohammad Humayun Kabir in the chair. Liberation War Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and former State Minister of Liberation War Affairs Captain (retd) AB Tajul Islam was present as the chief guest. While addressing the speakers condemned the post-polls violence and attacks on religious minority communities. They demanded of the government to give adequate compensation to the affected people and exemplary punishment to the attackers. The rally was attended, among others, by Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Shafiqul Bahar Majumder Tipu, Vice-President of Krishak League MA Karim, Presidium member of AMS Gazi Shafiqul Islam, central leaders Shakil Ahmed, Belal Hossain and Rubina Yasmin Antara. They called upon all to be united against the anti-liberation forces, otherwise the country’s sovereignty and independence will be threatened.
