Bangladesh Peace Council
Bangladesh Peace Council formed a human chain in front of the National Press Club in the city on Saturday. Leaders of the council bitterly condemned the genocide committed by Israeli forces in Palestine. They called upon the world leaders to be vocal against this inhuman act and take necessary step to stop it without any delay. The human chain was attended, among others, by General Secretary of the council Engr Dr MA Kashem, cultural personality Kamal Lohani and journalist Shahriar Kabir. President of the council Mozaffar Hossain Paltu presided over the programme.

Leaders of the Indian Origin Urdu Speaking Minority Council-Bangladesh (IOUSMCB) in a human chain formed in front of the UN Building in the city’s Agargaon on Sunday strongly protested Israeli atrocities in Palestine. They urged United Nations to take effective measures to try Israelis as war criminals. The human chain was addressed, among others, by Secretary General of the organisation Afzal Wasi, Vice-President Md Shamim and Treasurer Md Solaiman with its president Asgor Ali in the chair.
