Bangladesh Mahila Oikya Parishad
A rally organised by Bangladesh Mahila Oikya Parishad (BMOP) was held in front of the National Press Club in the city on Tuesday demanding exemplary punishment to those responsible for assaulting a female member of Amgram union of Rajoir Upazila in Madaripur district Saraswati Rani Baroi. The rally was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad Advocate Rana Dasgupto and President of BMOP Jayanti Roy. The speakers urged the government to take necessary measures against repression on the people of minority community.
