National Domestic Woman Workers Union
A rally organized by National Domestic Woman Workers Union was held in front of the National Press Club in the city on Monday demanding formulation of law to ensure rights, dignity and social security of the domestic helps according to ILO Convention-189. President of the organisation Anjuman Ara Begum presided over the rally. In the rally the speakers demanded of the government to take necessary steps to stop repression on domestic helps without any delay. It was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the organisation Murshida Akhtar, Prof Rehana Zaman and Abul Hossain.
