A commemorative meeting marking the first death anniversary of former minister Mohammad Nasim organised by Bangabandhu Academy was held at the Jatiya Press Club. State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Murad Hasan was present as the chief guest in the programme held on Monday. While speaking Murad said Mohammed Nasim would always be the inspiration of the political activists. “Momammed Nasim was always vocal against communalism and never deviated from his promise to build a non-communal egalitarian state”, Murad said adding his role in all democratic movements would inspire the political activists. “In the midst of hundreds of adversities, he never stepped back in the struggle of the movement,” Murad said. Recalling the contribution of late leader, Murad said Nasim had strengthened the hands of the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina in building the ‘Sonar Bangla’ dreamt by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
