E-commerce Assoc of Bangladesh
A seminar on digital commerce in the global market in post Covid-19 period organised by E-commerce Association of Bangladesh was held in the city. Minister for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Mustafa Jabbar was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Jabbar said E-commerce has emerged as a major platform for creating jobs and entrepreneurship for young people in the country. “In the future, not only trade, but also every field of life including education, agriculture, medicine and manufacturing will move towards the digital highways. The process of building digital highways will be completed on the golden jubilee of independence of the country,” he said. In order to make people’s life easier during the corona period, 98 percent area of the country has already been brought under the 4G network, he added. “Work is underway to provide high speed broadband internet in every union of the country including haors, islands and remote char areas,” he said, adding that all works will be completed on the golden jubilee of independence. The function was also addressed, among others, by lawmaker Fahim Razzaq, Land Secretary Mostafizur Rahman and BTRC Chairman Shyam Sunder Sikder. President of the association Shami Kaiser presided over the event.
