Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote
A commemorative meeting on noted cultural personality Aly Zaker and footballer Badar Roy organised Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote was held at the Jatiya Press Club. Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haq was present as the chief gust in the programme held recently.While speaking Mozammel called upon those misleading the people on Bangabandhu’s sculpture to seek apology. In the programme, the minister recalled the contribution of the two legends-Aly Zaker and Badal Roy for their outstanding contributions in the fields of cultural and sports of the country. He said all the Muslim-dominated countries in the world have sculptures and even there have been a number of sculptures in Bangladesh since long.”Particular conspirators belonging to a quarters of anti-liberation force are allegedly showing audacity by opposing the sculpture of Bangabandhu,” Mozammel added. He warned the conspirators and said the valiant freedom fighters won’t sit idle when Bangabandhu, the constitution and the spirit of the Liberation War will face any untoward situation. The function was also addressed, among others, by singer SD Rubel, freedom fighter Shafiqul Bahar Majumder Tipu, AL leader MA Karim and General Secretary of the jote Arun Sarker Rana. Adviser of the organisation Lion Chittaranjan Das presided over the event.
