Bangladesh Awami Sangskritik Jote
A discussion marking the 56th birthday of Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman organised by Bangladesh Awami Sangskritik Jote was held at Awami League (AL) office in the city’s Bangabandhu Avenue. State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hassan was present as the chief guest in the programme held on Thursday. While speaking Murad said Sheikh Russel would have been a leader of the country if he was alive. “We could celebrate his birthday with full happiness if he was alive.” Highlighting the memory of Russel, Murad recalled the young Russel, saying he did not get much company of his father but he followed the lifestyles of Bangabandhu very closely. The function was also addressed, among others, by City South AL General Secretary Shah -e- Alam Murad and Prominent Playwright M Hamid. Executive President of the jote Falguni Hamid presided over the event.
