Sammilita Sangskritik Jote
The second day programme of Amor Ekushey organised by Sammilita Sangskritik Jote was held at the Central Shaheed Minar premises in the city on Tuesday. In the programme Satyen Sen Shilpi Goshthi, Saptakalir Asar rendered songs. Anwar Parvez, Namita Biswas, Naima Siddika recited from the poems. Aranyak, Dristipat staged drama. Audience from all walks of life inspired with the Ekushey perception enjoyed the Amor Ekushey events.
Communist Party of Bangladesh
A rally organised by the Communist Party of Bangladesh was held at 1 No Golchattar in the city’s Mirpur on Monday. In the rally the speakers demanded exemplary punishment to five policemen who are allegedly involved in the murder of tea seller Babul Matabbar. They also demanded adequate compensation to the family of the deceased. The programme was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the organisation, Dhaka Committee Dr Sajedul Haque Rubel, Dhaka Committee member Secondar Hayat, Aktar Hossain, Riaz Uddin and Convenor of Bangladesh Hawkers Union Abdul Hashem Kabir. Dhaka Committee member of the organisation Asaduzzaman Masum presided over the event. After the rally a procession paraded main streets of Mirpur.
Sheikh Hasina Jatiya Juba Kendro
A week-long training course on terrorism, anti-drug-programme, morality and values was ended at Sheikh Hasina Jatiya Juba Kendro , Savar yesterday. Some 58 youths and organisers from 24 districts attended the training course . Directorate of Youth under the Ministry of Youth and Sports organised the course, says a press release.
