Bangladesh Revolutionary Garments Workers Federation
A human chain organised by Bangladesh Revolutionary Garments Workers Federation was formed in front of Jatiya Press Club on Friday demanding withdrawal of false cases filed against President of Prime Sweater Limited Sramik Union Amzad Hossain and release him immediately. They also demanded reopening of the sweater factory and reinstatement of retrenched workers of the factory. The human chain was addressed, amomg others, by President of Jatiya Garments Sramik Federation Amirul Haque Amin, President of Bangladesh Garments and Industrial Workers Federation Babul Aktar, President of Sammilita Garments Sramik Federation Nazma Akhtar and Acting General Secretary of Bangladesh Mukta Garments Sramik Union Federation Rashedul Alam Raju. President of the organisation Salahuddin Swapon presided over the programme.
IDEB Central Committee
The newly elected leaders of the Institute of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) Central Committee paid homage recently at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj. Science and Technology Affairs Minister Architect Yeafesh Osman and Awami League Advisory Council Member Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, MP also joined them. IDEB President AKMA Hamid, General Secretary M Shamsur Rahman, central leaders of IDEB and over 500 engineers from across the country were present on the occasion. The leaders offered Fateha and Munajat. A Milad Mahfil was also held on the occasion. While speaking Yeafesh said the mausoleum of Bangabandhu has become a shrine of the Bangalee nation. “We get inspiration for our future by paying tributes to the mausoleum,” he added.
BD TV Camera Journalists Assoc
Bangladesh Television Camera Journalists Association (BTCJA) for the first time installed a portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at its office in the city’s Kathalbagan on Friday. Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokan set up the portrait as the chief guest. While speaking Khokan said camera journalists have set up a unique example by installing the portrait of Bangabandhu. BTCJA President Harun-or-Rashid, General Secretary Mahe Alam James as well as executive committee members and general members were present on the occasion.
