The Retired Armed Forces Officers’ Welfare Association (RAOWA) is going to celebrate its 32nd Founding Anniversary on March 21.
To mark the occasion RAOWA will organize a Founding Anniversary Celebration Night from 1900 hrs to 2400 hrs on Friday, 2014 at its Convention Hall-1, Mohakhali.
Lt Col Mohd. Nazrul Islam, BP, psc (Retd) State Minister for Water Resources will be the Chief Guest.

A discussion on ‘Social Justice and Development of Ethnic Groups’ organized by Anagrasar Samaj Unnayan Sangstha (ASUS) was held recently at Kakonhat under Godagari Upazila to mark the International Women’s Day.Omar Faruque Chowdhury, MP, and Kakonhat Pourasava Mayor Abdul Majid addressed the meeting as the chief and special guest respectively with Kolpona Tirky, President of Sammilita Adibashi Nari Jote, in the chair. While speaking Omar said ensuring social justice towards the ethnic groups in the country’s northwest region including its vast Barind tract has become the demand of time for elevation of their living and livelihood conditions alongside their mainstreaming.
Adviser of Jatiya Adibashi Parishad Anil Marandi and its District unit president Sushen Kumar Shayam Duar, ASUS Executive Director Raj Kumar Shaw and Freedom Fighter Nurul Islam also spoke on the occasion.
The speakers underscored the need for establishing social justice towards the plain land ethnic communities through removing all sorts of disparity.
