The inter-base Azan and Quirat competition-2016 of Bangladesh Air force concluded at the BAFWWA auditorium of BAF Base Bangabandhu , Dhaka Cantonment yesterday(Monday). Assistant Chief of Air Staff ( Operations & Training) Air Vice Marshal M Naim Hasan OSP, afwc,psc distributed prizes among the winners and runner-up as Chief Guest. Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar clinched the title of the competition while the Bangladesh Air Force Base Birshrestho Matiur Rahman became runner-up . Sergeant Md Azimul of Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque secured first position in Azan and Quirat competition, says an ISPR release.

The annual sports competition of the city’s Ideal School and College (Morning and Day Shifts) will be held on January 20 and 21. President of the School’s Governing Body and Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon, MP and Chairman of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Dhaka Prof Abu Bakar Siddique will grace the occasion as the chief guests of the morning and day shifts respectively. President of Motijheel Thana Awami League and member of the governing body of the school Golam Ashraf Talukder will preside over the programmes of the both shifts.
Solidarity Committee for Protecting Agri Land of Tea Employees
A human chain in protest against attack on tea employees of Chunarghat organised by Solidarity Committee for Protecting Agricultural Land of Tea Employees was formed in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Monday. Convenor of the organisation Hasnat Kaiyum presided over the programme.
The speakers bitterly criticized the heinous attack on tea employees. The human chain was addressed, among others, by Barrister Jyotirmoy Barua, Ifthekhar Ahmed Babu, Zakia Shishir, Halim Dad Khan, Arup Rahi, Mafijur Rahman Laltu and Abdus Sattar.
