UGC Officers’ Assoc
A farewell reception organised by University Grants Commission (UGC) Officers’ Association for immediate-past members of the commission was held at its auditorium in the city on Tuesday. The outgoing members were Prof Dr Mohammad Mohabbat Khan, Prof Dr Abul Hashem and Prof Dr Md Akhtar Hossain. Chairman of the commission Prof Abdul Mannan attended the function as the chief guest with Md Kamal Hossain, president of the association in the chair. While speaking Prof Mannan recalled the contribution of the outgoing members of the commission to the higher education. Secretary Dr Md Khaled, divisional heads, officers and employees of the commission were present, among others, on the occasion.
