Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal
A rally organised by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) was held in the city on Tuesday marking its 43rd founding anniversary. President of the organisation and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present as the chief guest. While addressing Inu said ‘The enemies of Bangladesh would be defeated and socialism will prevail’. The rally was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the organisation Sharif Nurul Ambia, Joint Secretary Iqbal Hossain Khan, Organising Secretary Karim Sikder and President of the Jatya Jubo Jote Rokonuzzaman Rokon. President of JSD’s city unit Mir Hossain Akhtar presided over the event. Inu said that soon after Liberation in 1972, JSD was established to establish democracy, secular values and socialism through constitutional and legal means.
