A demonstration organised jointly by Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the city on Saturday. In the demonstration the speakers demanded exemplary punishment to those involved in importing rotten wheat. They also demanded to arrest the price hike of essentials and take necessary steps to remove water stagnant and traffic snarl. The event was addressed, among others, by CPB Presidium members Sajjad Zahir Chandan, Laxmi Chakravarty, its central committee members Ruhin Hossain Prince, Abdul Kader and BSD leaders Zulfikar Ali and Abdur Razzak. CPB General Secretary Syed Abu Zafar Ahmed presided over the programme.
