Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mahajote
Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mahajote organises a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Friday demanding three-day government holiday during the holy Durga Puja, the greatest religious festival of the Hindu Community. The speakers also demanded adequate security measures during puja. The press conference was addressed, among others, by Secretary General of the organisation Advocate Gobinda Chandra Pramanik, Joint Secretary General Dr MK Roy & Prof Ananda Biswas, Senior Vice-President Sukriti Mondal and President of Hindu Mahila Mahajote Dr Sonali Das. The speakers also urged the government to take necessary steps to stop repression on the people of the Hindu community and set up a ministry of minority affairs.
