National Garments Workers Federation
A human chain organised by National Garments Workers Federation was held in front of the National Press Club in the city on Monday with the President of the Federation Amirul Haque Amin in the chair. In the human chain the speakers demanded of the government to give adequate compensation to the victims of Rana Plaza collapse. They also urged the leaders of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) to come forward for the proper treatment of the people who were wounded in Rana Plaza collapse. After human chain a procession was brought out by the Federation. The procession paraded different city streets and terminated at the central office of the National Garments Workers Federation. The human chain was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of Jatiya Garments Sramik Federation Safia Parveen, central leader Nurun Nahar, Faruk Khan, Arifa Aktar, Kabir Hossain and Mohammad Rafique.
