Bangabandhu Sangskritik JoteA rally organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote was held in front of the National Press Club in the city on Thursday in protest against Tareque Rahman’s derogatory remarks on Bangladesh Awami League and Sheikh Mujib’s family. The jote also burnt Tareque Rahman’s effigy as part of its protest. The rally was addressed, among others, by President of US unit Awami League Dr Siddiqur Rahman and Assistant Secretary of AL MA Karim. General Secretary of the organisation Arun Sarker Rana presided over the programme.
