Everything is possible if talks are held with an open mind, said Gono Forum President and Jatiya Oikyafront leader Dr Kamal Hossain yesterday.
Dr Kamal said at the commemoration meeting on the occasion of the Jail Killing Day at Gono Forum’s office.
The dialogue began to achieve fruitful result, Dr Kamal said.
On Thursday, Dr Kamal led a 20-member team for a discussion with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, President of the ruling Awami League, at the Gono Bhaban.
The dialogue focused on reaching a consensus over holding the next general election in a fair, credible and inclusive manner.
In commemoration meeting, Dr Kamal further said, the Oikyafront had been formed to materialise the incomplete dream of Father of the Nation. No conspiracy can destroy the front, if we are united.
Gono Forum President said, after 47 years of independence, we have to think what did the people get? They say about development to keep it on run, but they are silent about money laundering, about rich men becoming richer and poor men becoming poorer. For the change of this situation, we formed the Jatiya Oikyafront. A new hope is waiting in future.
Dr. Kamal pointing to the AL Secretary’s comments said, there is a solution in our constitution and there are options for more talks.
Gono Forum Executive President Subrata Chowdhury and General Secretary Mostafa Mohshin Montu, among others, were present.
