A court here on Monday sentence 1 get hanged and 6 get life term in a murder case at Katiadi Upazila.
The convicted hanged Mohammad alis Khokon and life term were Taibur Rahman, Samrat, Ruman, Asrab Ali alis Ashok Ali, Majibur Rahman and Arab Ali of village Pachali Para under Katiadi Upazila in Kishoreganj district.
They gets the penalty and fined Tk 2 lakh each under Section 302/34 of the Penal Code. Additional District & Session Judge Mohammad Abdur Rahim handed down the verdict.
As per the prosecution, the convicted person murdered Motiur Rahman over a previous enimity on March 27, 2011. The victim’s son Riaz Uddin filed a case against them with Katiadi Police Station.
