Miscreants shot dead an owner of a fish enclosure at Shubharara village under Abhaynagar upazila in Jashore on Saturday evening.
The dead was identified as Al Mamun, 35, owner of a fish enclosure and also son of Mithu Akunji of the village.
Confirming the information, Touhidul Islam, additional superintendent of police, Jashore miscreants namely Ripon and Billal shot him at Shubharara village at around 5pm on Saturday. He was rushed to Abhaynagar Upazila Health Complex and then Khulna Medical College Hospital where the attending doctor declared him dead at around 7pm.
‘The incident took place over previous rivalry,’ he added. None was arrested till filing of the report.
