One more FSRU to be installed by 2019

The government is set to install one more Floating Storage and Re-gasification Unit (FSRU) LNG terminal at Moheshkhali by April 2019.
“We will install the second FSRU with a capacity of 500 mmcfd LNG by April 2019,” State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid told, reports BSS.
He said the national grid would get 1,000 500 million metre cubic feet LNG per day (mmscfd) from 2019, adding, “The government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is committed to ensure energy security in the country.”
The government installed the first FSRU at Moheshkhali in Cox’s Bazar district having 500 mmcfd capacity, which is supplying LNG to the national grid from September this year, he said.
The Astra Oil and Excelerate Consortium (AEC) installed the Floating Storage and Re-gasification Unit (FSRU) LNG terminal at Moheshkhali Island in the Bay of Bengal.
