One pedestrian died of road mishap in city yesterday morning. The pedestrian identified as Md.Ali(28) . Police sources said the pedestrian was rammed by a speedy city passenger bus losing speed control following the break failure.
The incident occurred at port connecting road under Halishahar thana in city. Halishahar thana police sources said the city bus bearing No.6 road of the city failed break suddenly at WAPDA crossing in port connecting road at early yesterday which collides a electric pole on road side.
The bus also severely hits the pedestrian who died on the spot, sources said.
Later, fire services rescue team rushed to the spot and rescued the bus from spot . The onboard passengers remained unhurt, sources said. Police detained the killer bus and the driver, assistant escaped from the spot quickly leaving the bus, sources said.
