Chattogram Bureau :
Chattogram City Corporation and the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) signed a MOU for preparing Geographical Information System(GIS) digital map of commercial capital famous Chattogram .
The MOU signed yesterday(Wednesday) at CCC conference hall duly signed by Chief city planner AKM Rezaul Karim and Dr. Mollah Md. Awlad Hossain of IWM on respective side .
City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin was present during the signing ceremony. Dr. Mollah Md.Awlad Hossain presented the info pictures about the GIS before the MOU signing program. CCC will implement the GIS map project at a cost of Tk.13 crores with its own fund.
City Mayor on the occasion depicted the importance of the GIS Digital Map and it is essential to t urn Chattogram into a Smart City. He GIS system will play a epoch making role in city planning as well as the transparency, accountability and skillness will enhance .
Moreover, GIS system will play effective role in increasing the incomes of the CCC.
