Chittagong Bureau :One vehicle technician was killed and his assistant injured when a gas cylinder of a Oil tanker exploded at a vehicle repairing workshop at city’s Halishahar area at 11am yesterday.The deceased was identified as Masum Billah, 27 a technician of a garage at Halishahar area.Shahjahan Kabir, Officer-in-Charge of Halishahar thana said the gas cylinder of the oil tanker went off with a big bang and the vehicle caught fire around 11am at the vehicle repairing workshop leaving its technician Msaum Billah dead on the spot and his assistant Mohammad Masun,20 injured.The explosion occurred when they were repairing the Oil tanker at their garage at 11am yesterday, Kabir added.The injured was admitted to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) after the accident. He has received 20 per cent burn injuries, according to sources.
