A day labourer was killed and another one was injured after falling a chunk of soil during hill cutting at city’s Khulshi thana on Monday.
The victim was Mohammad Younus, 60, son of late Mohammad Hanif, hailed from Lalmohon upazila of Bhula district.
Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, Sub-Inspector of Khulshi thana said day lobourer Younus and Jafarullah received serious injuries as a chunk of soil fell on them around 2.00 last night.
They were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital around 3.00 last night where the attending doctors declared Younus dead.
