A man was killed and 15 others injured in a clash over a land dispute at Baonpur village in Bishwanath upazila on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Jahur Ali, 35, son of Monu Miah, a resident of the village.
Abdul Hye, officer-in-charge of Bishwanath Police Station, said there had been a long standing dispute between Ayas Ali and Master Abdul Matin over a piece of land in the village.
The supporters of Ayas Ali dug soil from the land on Sunday which came to light Monday morning.
