A youth was killed after being struck by lightning at Foilyatoli Bazar area under Paharhtali thana in the city on Friday morning.
The victim was identified as Amzad Hossain Amin, 25, hailing from Foilyatoli Bazar area in the city. Amin was hit by lightning when he came out of his residence to buy grocery, said Nayek Hamid of Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost.Amin was taken to the hospital around 11am but doctors declared him dead after admission, polic e added.
