One died and nine others suffered burns injuries in a fire that broke out at a commercial building in Chittagong city yesterday evening.
The fire originated from the fourth floor of the five-storey building in Andarkilla area around 8:00pm, leaving at least nine people injuried, police sources said.
The injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital
where one, Subhra Das, succumbed to his injuries, said Zahirul Islam, in-charge of CMCH police outpost.
Three of the seven injured are in critical condition, reports our correspondent.
Two units of firefighters managed to douse the blaze around 9:18pm.
Details of the fire incident could not be known immediately.
