One killed, 50 injured over occupying water body in Habiganj

 One person was killed and 50 others were injured in a clash over occupying a water body at Manduri village in Baniachang upazila of Habiganj District on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Junab Ali, 40, son of Mahfil Miah, a resident at Manduri village in Baniachang upazila of same district.
Injured were taken to Baniachang Health Complex and Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital.
Source said, a longstanding dispute between former chairman of Manduri union parishad Shamsu Miah and Mahtab Khan, a resident of the village over the ownership of the water body. The clash ensued when the followers of the two groups went to the water body for catching fish.
The both groups, equipped with lethal weapons, attacked each other that left Jonab, a follower of Shamsu, dead on the spot and 50 people from the both sides injured.
On information, police rush the spot and control the condition and recovered the dead body.
