One youth was killed and 10 villagers were injured in a fierce clash between two rival groups over maintain supremacy at Sidla village in Hossainpur upazila of Kishoeganj district on Thursday.
About 15 houses and one shop were torched by the angry villagers at that time.
Locals said a villager namely Md. Shajahan (24) was seriously injured being attacked by his rival Helal and Linkon last week.
He succumbed to the injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday.
When the news spread, the supporters Shajahan torched about 15 houses and a shop of the rival group leaving ten people, including women and children, injured.
On information, Additional Police Super (Crime) Syed Abu Sayem rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
Police and RAB are now patrolling the area. Police arrested Iqbal and Linkon in connection with the murder.
A case was field in this connection with Hossinpur Police Station.
