One house, one farm project bringing self-reliance

The ‘One house, one farm’ project has been running successfully in Kawnia upazila here bringing economic self-reliance to hundreds of the rural people, speakers at a homestead meeting said on Monday.
The government has been implementing the epoch-making project along with other comprehensive uplift programmes, to assist the rural people in attaining self-reliance for building a middle income nation through materialising Vision 2021, they said.
They were addressed the meeting arranged by Ramchandrapur Village Development Society in village Ramchandrapur under Kawnia upazila here with Chairman of Kursha union parishad Mohammad Hossain Sarker in the cha
Deputy Commissioner Farid Ahammad attended the meeting, participated by the project beneficiary male and female members of Ramchandrapur Village Development Society, as the chief guest.
Kawnia upazila chairman Alhaj Mahfuzar Rahman Mithu and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdul Motaleb Sarker addressed the occasion as special guests.
Officer-in-Charge of Kawnia Thana Rezaul Karim, Upazila Coordinator of the project Nasrine Nahar, its Field Organiser Sadekul Islam, union parishad members Tobarak Hossain and Shamim Mian also spoke.
