Consumers Association of Bangladesh, Chittagong chapter has called for resisting the dishonest traders , manufacturers of essential commodities and foodstuffs against their irregularities, deceiving the innocent consumers through spurious and adulterated commodities .
It said the traders irrespective of classes are united but the consumers are not atall united . With this advantage of innocent consumers, the adulterated and spurious foods are being sold to the consumers leaves cripples the life of the human being which are overlooked by the administration due non-ogranised of the consumers voice. This was disclosed at a views exchanging and public relationing campaing as arranged by CAB, Chittagong atChandgaon in city on Monday .
President of Chandgaon Thana CAB , Jane Alam presided over it while the Divisional president of CAB SM Nazer hossain graced the occasion as chief guest. Vice president of the CAB Divisional chapter Abdul Wahab Chowdhury was the special guest in it. The speakers in the grass root views exchanging with the consumers said a class of unscrupulous traders and manufacturers of food commodities supplying essential commodities, fruits, fishes, meats mixing with formalin and other chemicals which is most harmful for the human life aimed at maximum profit in their pockets. These spurious food items will led towards crippling the body and even ultimate death, the speakers added.
They called for resisting these traders and asked the administration for taking punishable actions against the dishonest traders. Among others, CAB Khulsi thana President Ruksana Akhternabi, Shahin Akhter beauty of Suchana, Farhana Akhter of Women Home, principal Abu younus of prime cadet school and college, Mohila parishad leader Rubi khan spoke on the occasion, sources added.
