Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged illegal drug peddler with 4,700 yaba tablets from Shibganj in Chapainawabganj district last night. The arrested person was identified as Md. Zenarul Islam, 20, of Kaliganj Ismail Biswas Tola under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
RAB said, acting on a secret information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided Naldubi Hatatpara village under Shibganj upazila of the district at 11 pm and found Zenarul waiting on the road.
After searching him, RAB got the yaba tablets and arrested him.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj thana with a case.
