Police arrested a man in connection with allegedly tortured his wife to death at Churamoni village of Satkhania upazila on Friday.
Rokeya Begum, 22, was killed at her in-laws’ house by her husband Parvej at Eochia village of the upazila on Friday night over dowry. Rafiqul Hossain, officer-in-charge of Satkania Police Station said being informed by local, police recovered the body of Rokeya from the house on the night.
Police arrested M Parvej son of Mohammad Solaiman in connection with the killing of his wife from Churamoni village of Satkhania upazila at noon.
Mohiuddin, elder brother of the victim alleged that the family members of Parvaj used to torture her sister for dowry since their marriage three months back.
