Tawhidul Islam, attendant of patient named Zahid Sardar was handed over to police by interns for allegedly assaulting a doctor at Barisal Sher- e- Bangla Medical College Hospital on Tuesday early morning.
Dr.Raju Ahmed, President , Intern Doctors Association of SBMCH, said, Jamal Sardar, 35, member of Jagua Union Parishad under Sadar upazila of Barisal, Zahid Sardar, 30, and Alamin Sardar, 25, brothers of Jamal, were admitted at the hospital after severely injured by chopping of rivals on Monday night.
Among them Zahid Sardar was brought to operation theatre on fourth floor of the hospital at midnight.
Relatives of the injured patients crowded at the room and front of OT creating obstacles in performing duty of the doctors ignoring repeated requests of the physicians to vacant the area.
After 12:00 AM Tuesday when doctors went to change their dresses, mobile phone and money bags of a doctor became missing.
They informed the matter to Dr. Saiful Azam, register of surgery ward and he asked the attendants of the patients to vacate the area immediately due to this.
