Number of dengue patients decreased: One fined after aedes mosquito’s larvae found at under construction house site

Barishal City Corporation (BCC) and district administration jointly operating drives and fined In -Charge- of a house construction site on Friday.
Syed Enamul Huq, Sanitary Inspector and Prosecution Officer of BCC , disclosing this fact said a mobile court led by administrative magistrate Manisha Ahmed operated drives at Major M A Jalil Road, Oxford Mission Road areas of the city on Friday.
During this drive the joint team of BCC and DC inspected different houses of the area.
At that time Abdul Malek, in charge of construction site of a under construction building at the area was fined Tk 2 thousand after larvae of aedes mosquito found there.
On other hand numbers of admitted and discharged dengue infected patients decreased at Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital on Friday.
Dr. Bakir Hossain, director SBMCH, said total 147 dengue infected patients were under treatment at SBMCH till Friday noon. This number was 155 on Thursday .
Besides on Friday 49 dengue infected patients released from SBMCH after getting treatment and this number was 28 on Thursday.
From July 16 to August 30, total 1801 dengue infected patients admitted, 6 died and 1648 released after treatment, informed the SBMCH director.
558 dengue patients return home after treatment at RMCH
BSS from Rajshahi adds: A total of 558 dengue patients have, so far, returned back home after getting treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
At present, 24 patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital where the number of the dengue patients is gradually decreasing, said Dr Saiful Ferdous, Deputy Director of the hospital, while talking to BSS here yesterday.
He mentioned that seven patients got admitted into the hospital on last Wednesday and Thursday where the number of released patients is eleven on the two days.
Dr Ferdous also said a total of 583 patients received treatment in the hospital since July last and 558 of them returned back home after becoming cure.
There are all types of treatment facilities in the hospital so the dengue patients got treatment adequately, he added.
Doctors, nurses and other staffs of the hospital have also created awareness among the people against spreading of the deadly disease.
