A man named Mohammad Khoka (47) was killed after falling from a tree while picking black berry in Gafargaon of Mymensingh on Saturday morning.
His home is in Usthi village of the upazila. His father’s name was Sirfat Ali. According to the locals, Khoka Mia climbed the tree at around 8.30 am on Saturday to pick jam and broke the slope of the tree. The family members rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex. He died 10 minutes later while being treated at the hospital’s emergency department.
Dr Sajjad Rahman, who works in the emergency department of the Upazila Health Complex, said Khoka Mia, who fell from a tree, was in critical condition. He died at the hospital.
