The government on Monday decided to provide training for 4,200 people affected by land acquisition for Paira Port as part of the programme for their rehabilitation.
The affected people aged between 18 and 35 will be given technical and employment-oriented training in 35 categories from 2018 to 2020 at a cost of Taka 25 crore, an official release said.
The decision regarding the training programme was taken in a meeting on “Development, financial and training” of Paira Port Authority held in the conference room of the Shipping Ministry.
