A person was killed and five others were injured when a passenger train hit a trolley carrying passengers in Sujanagar Upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Dobir Khan, 50, hailed from Huderpara village of the Upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Sujanagar Thana, Md Badruddoza said the accident occurred at Huderpara near Tatibandha Railway Station at around 8 am, when the brick-laden trolley was crossing the railway track amid dense fog. DobirKhan died on the spot.
The injured were admitted to Pabna General Hospital for treatment.
