An old women was killed in a road accident at Akbershah area in the port city on Wednesday night. The victim was identified as Saleha Begum (60).
Sources said, Saleha Begum reached Akbershah area by a tempo. She was waiting for crossing the road after getting down from tempo and one speedy covered van ran over her at around 8 pm. She died on the spot. The body of the victim was sent to morgue for autopsy.
