An old van puller named Nur Mohammad Saana (52) of village Maskata under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district was arrested by the police on July 07 on the charge of sexually torturing a girl student of Class-I, according to a delayed report received here.
SI Harunar Rashid of Fakirhat Model PS said that on July 07 at about1 pm the girl was returning home from Maskata Govt. Primary School. Finding the girl alone the debauched van puller allured her to take sweetmeats and took her to an under construction building where he tried to commit rape on her forcibly. Then the girl screamed out. On hearing the screaming a woman rushed to the spot, rescued the girl and sent her to her mother. By this time the van puller managed to escape.
In this connection Gawhar Saana, maternal grand father of the girl registered a case with Fakirhat PS against the old van puller u/s 10 of Anti Women and Children Repression Act (Case No.08 , dated July 07, 2019. Abu Zahid Shaikh, OC s of Fakikrhat Model PS confirmed the matter.
