Police have arrested a old man named Ahab Uddin (68) in a case filed against him for raping a madrasha child (10) in Katiadi of Kishoreganj on Sunday evening.
It is learned that on Sunday evening , on the way back home from the Baishakhi Mela at the ancestral home of Oscar winning filmmaker Satyajit Ray, the child student who was the victim of rape started looking for an auto-rickshaw.
Then Ahab Uddin of Masua village talked to the father of the child student on his mobile phone and took him to his house. Ahab Uddin raped the child around 9.00 pm.
At his shout, the people around him rushed to his rescue. The raped child was admited to Katiadi Upazila Health Complex when his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital at Sunday midnight.
When the victim’s father lodged a complaint with katiadi Police Station , police also arrested the accused Ahab Uddin.
Senior Police Super( SP) in Kishoreganj Mashrukur Rahman Khaled Bpm (Bar) visited on the spot
OC in katiadi (investigation) Kazi. Mahfuz Hasan Siddiqui said, a case has been filed under Section 9 (1) of the Women and Child Abuse Suppression Act.
The accused was sent to the District Jail.
