The procedure of administrative action against the government officials who recently held a meeting with BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia would be taken soon, said State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadek on Tuesday.
“The government officials who had a secret meeting with BNP Chairperson have been identified. Now actions will be taken against them as per rules,” Ismat Ara Sadek told this while talking to journalists on Tuesday.
Sources in the Ministry said that intelligence agencies have provided a list of 30 officials and measures would be taken after examining the lists.
Earlier, addressing a press conference, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said actions would be taken against those who met the BNP chief.
On December 4, a group of former and incumbent secretaries had a meeting with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office.
But, the BNP has been denying media reports about the meeting.
